Courtallam Border Parotta Review

Courtallam Border Parotta Review

After reading and hearing great reviews of this place, couldn't wait to try it out. Happened to be in the vicinity around 10 pm and were looking for dinner options.Went in without a second thought and wow!

The place doesn't have much of an ambience but makes up for it in terms of food.
The service is super quick and we dint have to wait for any item for more than 5 minutes.
We tried the parottas,pichi pota kozhi,chicken biriyani,karandi omlette,idiyappam,egg dosa.

The parottas were served with two gravies - the regular Saalna and one special gravy. The Saalna was a little less on flavour I felt. The special gravy was spicy and had a strong coconut taste to it.The parottas themselves were small, soft and flaky.Loved it.

The pichu pota naatu kozhi was definitely one of the best sides I have had anywhere. It was very very good.

The chicken biriyani was good not great.Basically kushka served with one separately cooked, big chicken piece. Would've liked it better had it been a little warm.

The karandi omlette and idiyappam were the usual - nothing to go wrong really.
The egg dosa was the only let down.It was more like a regular dosa with egg perceptible only in a very small portion of the dosa.
